Anton Löf leads the Consulting Department and is a Senior Iron Ore Analyst at Raw Materials Group. He has extensive consulting experience with the private sector and international organisations such as UNCTAD and the World Bank. He has also performed academic research work on iron ore with the Luleå University of Technology.

Anton is responsible for the development of the Raw Materials Data (RMD) Iron Ore service which provides essential information to steel producers, mining analysts, suppliers to the mining industry, traders, shippers, and others involved in the steel and mining industry.

Anton completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics, and Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Communications Studies at the University of Stockholm.

Raw Materials Group (RMG) has particular expertise in mining sector market trends, business intelligence in the iron ore and copper sectors, and the exploration sector via the company’s recent merger with Intierra Resource Intelligence. Intierra specialises in providing data driven analysis of the industry starting with its exploration, ownership, financial and production database. Since 2002, RMG has been responsible for the only global publicly-available iron ore statistics and analysis presented by UNCTAD, Geneva. RMG also produces China Zinc and Steel Ore analysis, plus delivers the China Metal Forum with its strategic partner Beijing Antaike.

As a leading advisor in mineral economics and policy development, RMG has completed reviews of legislation, regulations and mineral economics policy for governments in Africa, Asia and Scandinavia. RMG has also carried out conceptual and feasibility studies focusing on the market situation for new mines in Russia, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
